First, a big and hearty thank you to
for the late X-Mas present, Manga Studio EX5! I've barely had the chance to play with it yet, but the inking tools are a little different, in a good way. The program is way more responsive to tablet pressure sensitivity than EX4, so I have to get used to that. However, the coloring tools are much better and more robust than EX4, sort of a cross between Photoshop and Painter. That said I'll have to get used to that too as the way I do colors in Photoshop don't work so well here, or, and more than likely, I just haven't wrapped my head around the brush controls yet. The program itself runs faster overall because of its native 64-bit support which EX4 was only 32-bit.
The image I posted on Friday morning [zhaxra.deviantart.com/art/CBR-…
, was my first image completed in EX5. I had finished my pencils in EX4 before I got the upgrade, and finished the image completely in EX5.
Hopefully I'll be a little more productive, provided I can ever stop playing Hearthstone. That game is very addictive and I'm not even a fan of those style of card games.
