Description

Done for an Art jam over at CBR forums. I was chosen the mutant, Orphan and make a version that is different than Earth-616's version.
(Original bio was destroyed by twitchy admins over at CBR, posting bio here for archival purposes.)

History:

Like everyone else who was riveted to the television, Guy Smith witnessed the fight between the X-Men and the Adversary. When the X-Men and two humans (a female pilot and a newscaster) gave up their lives to save the universe, he decided not to play Russian Roulette that day.

Months later, a news cast shocked the world that Muir Isle was the epicenter of a massive explosion. According to the government it was caused by the mutant terrorist organization, the X-Terminators, killing almost everyone in the area. Being a mutant, Guy opted to lay low until the rise of anti-mutant fervor died down.

Two months later, the Mutant Registration Act was reformed and upgraded to the Super-Human Registration Act by Senator Kelly and was passed through quickly by Congress and approved by the President of the United States. A Task Force to enforce it had been assigned to FBI Agent Jacob Reisz and Dr. Valerie Cooper. Upon hearing that news, Guy began to pack up and decided to head to Canada. He never made it out of his home when government agents showed up at his door. Guy's enhanced senses screamed danger. He barely escaped the agents, which included Sabretooth, and stayed on the run for three weeks.

He happened upon Spider-Man leading a group of individuals down into the sewers. When Guy followed them, Spider-Man, confronted him in the tunnels. A wounded, blind and paralyzed old woman, Madame Web, vouched for Guy with her telepathy. For the next three days, he helped these people get to safety on a boat heading out of the country. The web-slinger, had told him about the resistance movement to get super-powered individuals, particularly any telepaths or psychics and their families out of the country and why.

A psychic entity known as the Shadow King has come into power secretly after winning the battle with X-Factor on Muir Isle. Currently, he is able to corrupt and take over peoples minds and he is creating a super-powered army so he can rule the world from behind the scenes. To achieve this plan, he needs people with any sort of telepathic or empathic abilities. The resistance is trying to prevent that from happening. Guy decided then and there the he join up.

For three years, Guy helped the resistance, though it seemed that they saved less and less people over time. The last mission he participated in, had Spider-Man, Taskmaster, and himself escorting a young mutant by the name of Mary Zero. Because of her ability, he was the only one who could sense she was there. They were attacked by the Task Force agents consisting of Sabretooth, Ms. Marvel, the Punisher, and Firestar. In the battle, Ms. Marvel had tore his right arm from his body just under the elbow as Taskmaster died from Firestar's microwave blasts. The overload of pain combined with his heightened senses, shut down Guy's pain receptors. He was able to save Mary from Sabretooth, and at Peter's urging, he took her and ran away to the rendezvous point, and board a stealth submarine headed for Europe. That was the last time he saw his friend alive.

His arm treated, he ended up in England. While no longer in the resistance, he was scouted and approved for head of security for the European branch of the Hellfire Club, by the Inner circle members Emma Frost, Robert Drake, and Elisabeth Ramsey. There they plan and co-ordinate the Secret War with the Shadow King, who now controls all the Americas and a good portion of Africa.

Note: His Hellfire Club uniform functions like the suit used by his Earth-616 counterpart. He modified the look to pay homage to his fallen friend and mentor, Spider-Man.

Turning point from Earth-616:
- Kitty Pryde lost her life during the Mutant Massacre. Psylocke decided to go back to England and Douglas Ramsey opted to go with her.
- The X-Men along with Madeline Pryor and Neal Conan died in their fight with the Adversary. The death of Kitty was still weighed heavily on them so they opted for Roma's other choice.

Thoughts: I really should've kept the bio short, but it of sort of ran away from me.
